Your privacy and the protection of your personal data is important to us. This Privacy Notice explains the type of personal data we may collect from you and how we use it for the purposes of this registration form and the event it relates to (SEA Rare Disease Summit 2024 , hereinafter the “Event”).
Takeda is a globally operating group of companies. The Takeda enterprise includes the parent company Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, and its affiliated entities (together “Takeda” or “We”). Your data will be collected and further processed by Takeda (Thailand), Ltd, 57 Park Ventures Ecoplex Building, 15th Floor, Wireless Road, Lumpini, Patumwan, Bangkok 10330. This Event is organized by Takeda (Thailand) Limited, with the support of Flex Solutions Co., Ltd. (“Flex Solutions”). We process personal data about you for the following purposes:
- To process your registration, and administer your participation in this Event;
- To manage any of our interactions, including to respond to your inquiries and requests, providing you information on the Event’s content, updates and any additional information related to the same;
- Where in accordance with your wishes, to provide you with information or product samples that may be of interest to you;
- To gather feedback on our Event; and
- Where photographs and/or videos of you may be taken at the Event, these may be used for internal and/or external publications; as well as for audit and/or compliance purposes relating to the Event.

The personal data we process includes your (business) contact information; professional life information (such as your specialty, professional background and interests); country of residence; information about our interactions and meetings, and any other information you provide to us. We may also collect information about you through third parties that are allowed to share such information with us.
Your personal data may be shared with and/or processed by service providers and business partners around the world that we rely on or collaborate with to fulfil the above Purposes, including Flex Solutions. We may also share your information with other Takeda affiliates and subsidiaries. The sharing of your personal data may involve transfers to other countries. The data protection and privacy laws in these countries may provide a different level of protection. Takeda will put in place appropriate safeguards to protect your personal data in connection with such transfers.
We keep your personal data for the period necessary to fulfil the above Purposes, and in any case, for up to 6 months after the conclusion of the Event. At which point, all personal data will be securely deleted, unless you have provided your consent for us to contact you for other purposes in which case, we will store your personal data for as long as we maintain a business relationship with you,; and/or a longer retention period is required or permitted under by law.
Our processing of your personal data as described above may be for:
- Our legitimate interests in (1) promoting our products and disease awareness and (2) for internal compliance and/or audit purposes;
- to fulfil our contractual obligations towards you;
- to comply with our legal obligations; or
- based on your consent.
You may have the right to request access to, rectification, erasure, and/or a transfer of your personal data, or object to or request restriction of its processing. Where our use of your personal data is based on your consent, you may also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
